a nordic shamanic & goddess retreat with korpmor (raven mother) & Karina Ladet

We want to create new circles of magic through contact with both the beautiful and rugged landscape, the Spirits of the Land and the Spirits of the early Ancestors; The humans that walked and lived the land after the Great Ice Age, 36000 years ago, and onwards.
Each one of us, participants and course leaders, our priestess assistant, the chef/driver, birds, trees, rivers, brooks, caves, wind, water – everyone and everything is a part adding flavor to just this time, this course and the possible adventure it can be.
During this retreat you will learn and experience or deepen your skills in Norse shamanism and get an understanding of how this magic is funded in animism, in Goddess oriented faith and reciprocal communication and exchange with beings in both this world and the Otherworld.
The base camp for our retreat is an old Mas, a big, former farmhouse, now renovated in a style that kept its spirit while giving luxurious comfort to anyone staying there. It will be a deep course so we decided to indulge a bit in abundance when it comes to food and accommodation.
When the basics are taken care of there is room for processing, writing and resting between the excursions and ceremonies. Norse magic is a lot about ceremony, and the ceremonies are often focused on gathering knowledge from other beings, giving thanks, divination etc but there can also be ceremonies that focus on transformation and many other things.

7 days, 7 different ceremonies…
So in these Circles of Magic we will turn to the land and to the Spirits of the Ancestors, in gratitude for the clues they have left us and through Seidr and other shamanic techniques listen to messages from the Spirits of the Land.
Messages that can be different for each one of us in our private lives, but some may also contain important guidelines for our communities. We live in turbulent times and our industries, wars and life styles threaten All Life on Earth, but there were always challenges.
Our Early Ancestors had to communicate with the the Spirits of the Land to even survive, so the wisdom they gathered is woven into the rocks and the earth, even quite physically in their rock art. If we listen closely we might see that their wisdom could help us also today.
36,000 years ago, the epic paintings in the Chauvet Cave were created. In the area, early nomadic people lived in small groups on a tundra-like steppe landscape among hills, limestone mountains and volcanoes. The river ran between the rock formations, as it still does.
It was a rich landscape that offered both challenges and opportunities of survival at a time when large parts of Europe were still covered in ice. Large animals such as mammoths, woolly rhinos, cave bears and cave lions lived there, together with humans.
During our magical adventure we will walk in their footsteps, between past and present. The excursions we make will bring us to several magical places. To connect with the wisdom of the Ancestors we will begin the excursions by visiting the famous cave museum Grotte Chauvet 2* On the other days we will visit smaller, authentic caves, meet centuries-old chestnut trees, dense virgin forests, an especially spirited volcano, streams and rivers and get to know some local herbs and plants, all in ceremony and shamanic spirit.
It will be an adventure where we connect in our own Circle of Magic, walk between the worlds, open our hearts, sing, dance and make drum journeys, oracling and important ceremonies.
Of course we will eat well of local produce and rest our brains too.
Some natives of this land grow chestnuts and wine, others grow aromatic herbs, very special products and way different from how the Early Ancestors lived, but still it is in the magical circle of survival, adapted to our time.
There are centuries old chestnut trees, dense forest with smaller trees and bushes and in the midst of the forest there’s a farm that make herbal elixirs – at the edge of the forest there’s a castle with well kept vineyards.
The huge chestnut trees are magical beings and the wine has its magic too… There will be a possibility to visit a local vineyard and taste from their production.
This is a truly sacred adventure.
why we’re creating this retreat:
In 2024 I felt a strong call to join Korpmor’s year long Nordic shamanic training “Valans Vandring i Gränslandet” and it was life-changing. I fell in love with my roots, remembered ancient teachings and ceremonies and reconnected deeper with who I am. I LOVED Korpmor’s powerful guidance, deep wisdom and kindness. Our group was amazing and they now feel like family.
Last October Korpmor and some of our group members travelled to France and I showed them my favorite sacred places and we offered our ceremonies to the land. They all LOVED it and we felt a strong call to create a retreat here.
Bringing people from all over the world to this magical part of France and co-creating with the spirits of the land and the Goddess brings us so much joy. Honoring the call and gathering in sacred circle is our way of giving back to Her.

what to expect:
A mystical journey that connects you with the Spirits of the cave people and brings you to secret, sacred places. Ardèche in France has so much to offer, in addition to wondrous beauty and down-to-earth experiences.
This course invites you to listen and feel these magical lands. In silence, in ceremony – and through Seidr and other shamanic journeys. This retreat will be given in both English and Swedish, translated when so is needed in between the languages.
As the Ladet couple both speak fluent French, and Raven Mother a fair bit we also welcome you who live in France and feel that your English is not so fluent.
This course is open to all genders. You need to be able to walk a couple of kilometers a day, and be able to use stairs, both for the house and for our excursions.
our house:
Welcome to Mas de Lascombe! Our accommodation is a fairly luxurious old Mas, a farmhouse in the country side, renovated with lots of love by the wonderful owner. The house is located within walking distance of a small village and it’s surrounded by trees and mountains.
There are plenty of spaces inside the house, in the courtyard and surrounding garden. There is a pool, Nordic bath (jacuzzi) and gorgeous lounge area outside. As you can see in the photos below it’s beautiful and very typical for French stone houses in this area. We’ll be able to drum, sing, do ceremonies and share stories and teachings here.

- All meals will be lovingly homemade by my husband Olivier at our house. We will also go out for one lunch at our favourite local restaurant. Any nutrition needs will be carefully included.

Who are we?
Korpmor/Raven Mother: I am a priestess of Avalon since 2017, and hold my own priestess trainings and other goddess- and shamanically oriented trainings.
I have worked with Nordic shamanism for about 30 years so by now I belong to the circle of Elders in those communities in Sweden. I am always curious and interested in the human being, so I have studied a lot. I have a bachelor’s degree in History of Comparative Religion and Social Anthropology, and a Masters degree in psychology.
The purpose of all my work is to acknowledge and share the power of the Feminine deities in the Universe and to show the beauty and healing that an animistic worldview can bring. In a Universe where All Beings
created are perceived has having soul and life Everything turns magic. Of course I also love to help people find their true paths and unique abilities.
Karina Ladet: I am a Channel, Healer & Business Intuitive with over 20 years experience helping women to trust their inner guidance and creating soulful (and thriving) businesses they love.
I also hold sacred retreats all over the world and facilitate retreats for others here in France. I live in Ardèche with my husband Olivier who loves to cook and makes sure we have delicious meals.
Olivier Ladet: Musician, chef and our driver. So this retreat will also be a culinary journey with fantastic food cooked by Olivier.
Lisa Kollberg is a trained Earth Priestess and she will be our Melissa (assistant) on the retreat. She has a very special magic when she arranges things so that they flow.
